Police Rescue Newborn Baby Abandoned By 16 Year Old Mother.

The Katsina State Police Command has through its spokesperson, DSP Gambo Isah, confirmed that the police rescued a new born baby girl alive, who was abandoned by her 16-year-old mother, identified as Hassan Tanimu from Jabiri, in Funtua local government area.

Isah stated that police detectives, acted on a tip-off and traced the abandoned baby to Tanimu – she claimed that she abandoned the baby because she had been drugged and raped by an unknown person and had gotten pregnant in the process.

The police said that investigation into the matter has begun.
