No One Will Be Compared To Me – Cristiano Ronaldo Declares

No One Will Be Compared To Me – Cristiano Ronaldo Declares

Cristiano Ronaldo
While speaking in a new Nike advert, 5-time Ballon d’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo, declared that there is nobody in the world with his ‘talent, dedication or work ethic’ and insists no-one can be compared with him.
According to Dailymail Sports, the Real Madrid superstar believes he is No. 1 in plenty of categories as the debate over whether he or Lionel Messi is better.
‘In the beginning I was dreaming to be best player in the world,’ Ronaldo said.
‘Friends of mine, they look at me like, “what are you talking about?” I played for fun, for a joke, but in my mind I think that potential started in Manchester, that’s when I started to believe.

‘I don’t see many people with my talent, my dedication, my work, my ethic of football. No-one is going to be compared with me, no-one is going to be Cristiano Ronaldo. You’re going to be yourself, I’m going to be myself.’
Ronaldo has scored 562 goals in 753 career matches, a remarkable return, and has more than one goal a game in his time at Real Madrid.
All that is missing from his trophy room is the World Cup, something which the Portgual legend will be hoping to put right in the summer.

Super Eagles Forward, Victor Moses Comes Under Attack At Chelsea

Super Eagles Forward, Victor Moses Comes Under Attack At Chelsea

Victor Moses
It’s taken some time, but the novelty of Victor Moses at wing-back has finally worn off. There is no denying that it has been fascinating to watch an inconsistent, somewhat apathetic, injury-prone player reinvent himself as a blue collar grinder pounding up and down the wide area.
That, though, is a double-edged sword.
With the sense of wonder now slowly dissipating, the bare minimum, which seemed the extent of popular expectation, is no longer enough. It sufficed that, playing in an unfamiliar position, he was not a liability in any overt way. Now, with over a season under his belt, it is perhaps time to eliminate all caveats and consider his contribution on its own merits.
It is in doing this that his limitations stand out unmistakably. This writer suggested that he was the most readily upgradable part of what was an efficient winning machine last season, and that it would be counterproductive to return to the Champions League without a proper specialist.
Wednesday’s defeat at the Camp Nou brought an end to their European adventure, and seemed to aptly sum up just how much the Nigeria international limits the Blues’ attacking play.
Chelsea gave as good an account of themselves as is possible, but what proved the difference between the teams was the degree of efficiency at crucial times and in vital positions…well, there was Messi too!
With Eden Hazard less effectual than usual, the busy Willian seemed the chief conduit of menace for Chelsea. However, his attempts on the night to combine with and play in Moses down the right frequently led to any attacking impetus breaking down.
It seemed, in fact, that the 26-year-old was never certain of what to do with the ball once he received it. Weak crosses in the general direction of the penalty area, dribble attempts lacking in any conviction or intensity, and safe passes backwards were the order of the day.
It is not simply a question of form either. For much of last season, even while his conversion remained a source of wonder, there was a concern over his lack of decisive contributions, both in goals and assists. Indeed, if asked which of Moses or left wing counterpart Marcos Alonso looks like a converted forward, without prior knowledge, one would more readily select the Spaniard.
This term, Alonso has scored seven times and laid on a further three for Chelsea. Last season, it was six goals and three assists. Moses’ numbers pale in comparison: this season, he has scored three times and assisted twice.
It is not simply about the output even. On the whole, Alonso is just a much more tangible influence on the team’s overall style and build-up, bringing greater individual flair and interpretation to his role, and more actively getting into areas where he can more directly affect proceedings. He took four shots on Wednesday, while Moses mustered none.
Davide Zappacosta, on as a substitute in place of the Nigeria international for a fraction of his time, at least got one off.
Granted, there is a bit of a left-sided focus to Chelsea’s attacking play, which naturally means Alonso gets on the ball more. Still, this skew, in theory, allows Moses to actually get into advanced positions on the far side unmarked. He should, in fact, be finishing off more moves.
Interestingly, this attacking underperformance can be explained, paradoxically, by the very fact that he is an attacker.
Perhaps not being a natural in the role had bred more caution into Moses’ game. Being so acutely aware of his own limitations seems to be causing him to overcompensate and emphasize on his weaknesses rather than his strengths. This would explain why he seems so inhibited in attack, but is increasingly steady in defence.
This is in stark contrast to Alonso, who is a specialist, and so has inherent confidence in his ability to interpret his responsibilities, thereby allowing him greater room for expression.
There is also an element of balancing risk and reward. Having taken a place in the team, after being frozen out for so long, by dint of his application and hard work, rather than ability in the role, there is greater risk than reward in experimenting. There is safety in doing what one is told, and little else; and so, Moses has become the ultimate safety-first footballer within this Chelsea set-up.
It may be keeping him in the side, of course, but by acting like a caretaker rather than making the position his own, Moses increasingly runs the risk of being once again thrust into the cold.

Meet The Arsenal Star Who Lives In Mansion While His Mom Is Homeless, Lives In A Container (Photos)

Meet The Arsenal Star Who Lives In Mansion While His Mom Is Homeless, Lives In A Container (Photos)

The Arsenal star and his mom
According to a shocking report by The SUN, the homeless mum of £30,000-a-week Arsenal star, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, is sleeping in a freezing 10ft square metal storage crate.
The 38-year-old Jule Niles, says her 20-year-old Ainsley, refused to help her get a flat, adding: “The money’s gone to his head.”
While the Arsenal star shares a luxury £700,000 apartment with brother Cordi, the mum has to sneak past staff at the Big Yellow Storage warehouse to sleep in the freezing container.
Jule said she began living in the box three months ago after her relationship broke down with Ainsley, who is rated at £15million.
The Arsenal’s mom in her container
She said: “It’s a metal container with no windows or carpet. There is no toilet or washing facilities. My son Ainsley could buy me a flat with two weeks or two month’s wages.

“But the money’s gone to his head and I’m in this position. My son plays for Arsenal and I am homeless and in a storage unit.

“It’s not a home. I know what home feels like — to be able to shower, brush your teeth and sit in your room.
“All that I miss — but most of all I miss my family. It’s horrible. I just want to know what I’ve done wrong.”
Jule said she lives in fear that warehouse staff will realise she is sleeping in the container and turn her out on the street.
She said: “I wait until everyone has gone home and slip into the unit when it is dark. It is heartbreaking.

“The area is covered in snow and it’s not been above freezing for days. I heard a homeless man died here overnight on Thursday.”
Jule sat on a bare mattress on the container’s floor and told how she struggled as a single mum to raise Ainsley and charity worker Cordi in council houses in and around Ilford, East London.
All around her are bags of family photos, including dog-eared pictures of Ainsley playing football as a toddler. Pushed into a box are his first contracts with the Gunners.
Jule told how when the boys were growing up she was sometimes so poor that she went hungry so they could eat.
Ainsley was spotted by Arsenal scouts and signed for the club’s academy when he was six.
All her sacrifices appeared to have paid off when in December 2014 he made his debut for The Gunners aged 17 in the Champions League against Galatasaray.
Four days later he made his Premier League debut in a 4-1 victory over Newcastle United. Afterwards he paid tribute to God and his mum in an interview on Arsenal’s website.
He said: “I want to thank my family and God mostly for putting me here.” Asked what he would do with his match shirt, he said: “I think I’ll frame it and give it to my mum.”
This season Ainsley, who is a midfielder, winger or right back, has played nine league and eight European games for the Gunners.
